This month’s Biblical theme is: God is Good
Unit OverviewThis month, we are learning all about the unwavering goodness of God. In the creation story, God crafted a perfect world and formed a special relationship with humans. Despite humanity’s sins, as seen in Cain and Abel’s story, God’s protection and love endure. God’s goodness shines through in Noah’s rescue from the flood and in God fulfilling His promise to Abraham and Sarah, bringing unexpected joy. Through these stories, God’s consistent goodness, faithfulness and love for humanity are evident, emphasizing His enduring care and blessings.
This month’s biblical theme: God is Faithful
Unit OverviewGod’s faithfulness is seen in each of the stories this month. David, Elijah and Daniel were all protected and cared for. Even in exile, Ezekiel prophesied hope for Jerusalem’s restoration, symbolized by dry bones coming to life. Despite Israel’s disobedience, God remained steadfast — guiding, providing and protecting His people. No matter the trial, God is faithful.

This Month’s Biblical Theme is: Jesus is Our Rescuer
Unit OverviewSin had broken God’s perfect world. Prophets like Malachi and Isaiah foretold of a Rescuer who would save humanity from their sins. John the Baptist would prepare hearts for the Messiah and remind them of their need to be rescued. Mary trusted in God’s plan and became the one to bring the Rescuer into the world. The Rescuer’s name was Jesus. He is our ultimate Rescuer and the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring people back into relationship with God.

This month’s Biblical theme is: Jesus is Fully God and Fully Man
Unit Overview:This month, all our stories reveal how Jesus is both God and man. This is known as the hypostatic union. All of our passages this month reveal how Jesus is both fully God and fully man. In the story of boy Jesus from Luke 2:41-52, we see Jesus as a human child, growing up with His family and learning about God. But His wisdom and understanding in the temple amaze everyone, showing that He is also God. In Matthew 4:1-17, Jesus faces temptations just like any human would, but He resists them and teaches us to worship God alone, proving His divine strength and authority. When Nicodemus meets Jesus in John 3:1-21, Jesus explains that to have eternal life, we must believe in Him. This shows His divinity, offering salvation and God’s love through Himself as God’s Son. Finally, in Mark 2:1-12, Jesus forgives sins and heals a paralyzed man, demonstrating His divine power and authority while also showing His compassion and care as a fully human friend to all. These stories help us understand that Jesus is both like us and also able to save us as a full member of the Godhead.

This month’s Biblical theme is: Jesus Knows Us
Unit OverviewThe message that God knows us is reinforced over and over again in the Bible. Jesus told a group of His followers not to worry because God knows what they need. Jesus knew the heart of the woman who anointed His feet with oil and loved her deeply despite her sin. Knowing Peter’s fear when they were walking on water together, Jesus rescued him. Jesus wanted His disciples to know Him and see Him as their Rescuer just like God wants us to know Him.
