Brite Monthly – Preschool: April 2026
This Month’s Biblical Theme Is: God is Redeemer
Jesus took the punishment for sin and rose from the dead, defeating death and offering new life to all who believe. Jesus revealed that all of Scripture points to His redemptive mission to save people from sin. The promise of His return assures believers that redemption is not only a past event but a future hope. God sent the Holy Spirit to empower His followers and continue His work of redemption through the church. God is our Redeemer who rescues, restores, and brings new life through Jesus.
Big Question: How did Jesus save us? He died on the cross and rose again!
Monthly Memory Verse: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son. (John 3:16)
The Cross and the Empty Tomb (Mark 15:13–16:8; Luke 23:26-24:9)
Jesus was beaten, mocked, and died on a cross in between two thieves. He was buried in a tomb. Three days later, His disciples went to the tomb and found it empty! Angels said, “He is not here! He is risen!” Jesus defeated death!
Brite Idea: Jesus defeated death!
The Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13–35)
Two of Jesus’ followers were walking when Jesus joined them, though they didn’t recognize Him. He explained how the Old Testament pointed to Him and His mission to save people from sin. Later, their eyes were opened—they realized He was alive!
Brite Idea: God gave us the Bible to point to Jesus.
Jesus’ Return Is Promised (Acts 1:1–11)
Jesus appeared to His disciples many times and taught about God’s kingdom. He told them to wait for the Holy Spirit. Then He ascended into heaven. The disciples were told that Jesus would return one day in the same way that He left.
Brite Idea: Jesus promised will return one day.
The Holy Spirit Arrives (Acts 2:1–41)
At Pentecost, the disciples heard wind from heaven and tongues of fire appeared above their heads. Filled with the Holy Spirit, they spoke in foreign languages. Peter preached about Jesus, and 3,000 people believed and were baptized, beginning the church.
Brite Idea: The Holy Spirit lives in believers.
This Month’s Unit Title Is: New Life
God makes all things new. In Jesus, we are given a fresh start and a new beginning. Through His death on the cross, He offers us new life—restored, redeemed, and full of hope. One day, He will renew all of creation, making everything whole again. Only Jesus has the power to make all things new. Only He can save us.

Preschool Perspectives
This Month’s Leader Training Topic Is: Classroom Management
Effective classroom management creates an environment where preschoolers feel safe, engaged, and valued. By focusing on positive reinforcement, maintaining a clutter-free space, documenting incidents for safety and communication, and turning tasks into fun games, you establish clear expectations and foster a sense of order. The key is preparation and intentionality—when you’re proactive instead of reactive, you create a calm, joyful space where kids can thrive and focus on learning about Jesus.
Throughout the month, we’ll explore the following:
Week 1 – Positive Reinforcements
Week 2 – Clutter Free
Week 3 – Incident Forms
Week 4 – Play It
Teaching Kids about the Gospel:
The Gospel is the good news. God wants everyone, even preschoolers, to know this good news.
Here’s the Gospel in four main words: God, Us, Jesus, Trust.
God
God is a loving God who is all-powerful and great. He knows and sees everything, and rules over everything. God created all people in His image, and we are special to Him.
Us
But we have sinned, and our sin separates us from God. What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say or do that disobeys God.
Jesus
God loves us so much, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus. Jesus came to save us by dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose again three days later and is alive!
Trust
God gives salvation, rescuing us from our sin, to everyone who places their trust in Jesus as their Savior. What is trust? It means that we rely on what Jesus did.
