Brite Monthly – Preschool: September 2025

This Month’s Biblical Theme Is: God is Trustworthy

By giving the law to His people, God showed His commitment to the Israelites’ well-being. Joshua was rewarded for trusting God despite others’ fear. God was trustworthy as He led the Israelites to victory in Jericho. Samson’s life showed that even when people fail, God remains faithful and merciful, ready to redeem those who turn back to Him. Our stories reveal a God who is constant, powerful and worthy of trust in all circumstances.

Monthly Memory Verse: Those who know Your name put their trust in You.

(Psalm 9:10)

Big Question: When can we trust God? Always!

Ten Commandments (Exodus 19–20)

God gave laws to Moses to show the people how to act toward Him and toward others. The Ten Commandments taught the people how to love God and love other people.

Brite Idea: God tells us how life works best.

The Twelve Spies (Numbers 13–14)

Moses sent spies to explore the Promised Land. The people gave into fear instead of trusting God. Consequently, the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years.

Brite Idea: God can be trusted.

The Walls of Jericho (Joshua 1:1–3; 5:13–6:27)

Joshua led the Israelite army in following God’s instructions. On the seventh day of the people marching around the city, the walls of Jericho fell. God led His people to victory.

Brite Idea: God leads His people.

Samson (Judges 13–16)

Samson was a judge while the Israelites were oppressed by the Philistines. Samson was dedicated to God but also caused trouble and did things his own way. Samson was captured, but God ultimately used him to destroy the Philistine leaders.

Brite Idea: God is faithful even when we are not.

Teaching Kids about the Gospel:

The Gospel is the good news. God wants everyone, even preschoolers, to know this good news.

Here’s the Gospel in four main words: God, Us, Jesus, Trust.

God

God is a loving God who is all-powerful and great. He knows and sees everything and rules over everything. God created all people in His image, and we are special to Him.

Us

But we have sinned, and our sin separates us from God. What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say or do that disobeys God.

Jesus

God loves us so much, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus. Jesus came to save us by dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus rose again three days later and is alive!

Trust

God gives salvation, rescuing us from our sin, to everyone who places their trust in Jesus as their Savior. What is trust? It means that we rely on what Jesus did.
