Unit Overview
Monthly Memory Verse: Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. (1 Chronicles 29:11a)
The Early Church (Acts 4:32–37; 5:1–11)
The early church shared generously, but Ananias and Sapphira sold a field, kept part of the money and lied about it—leading to their sudden deaths when confronted.

This Month’s Unit Title Is: Today’s Forecast
God is in control of everything—even the weather! Nothing catches God off guard. The weather may be unpredictable to us, but it’s never outside His command. He is all-powerful and always prepared, even when we are not. No matter what the skies above are like, we can rest knowing that God remains sovereign over it all.

This Month’s Leader Training Topic Is: Partner with Parents
One of the greatest privileges when teaching kids is partnering with their parents to build a bridge between the church and home. Don’t we all want the lesson to continue on from the short time we have at church? Here’s some ideas on how to do that:
Throughout the month, we’ll explore the following:
Week 1—Family Challenge
Week 2—Grandpals
Week 3—Being Mistreated for Following Jesus
Week 4—Weekly Check-In
Week 5—Celebrate What God Is Doing
Teaching Kids about the Gospel:
The Gospel is the good news. God wants everyone to know this good news and not miss out on this invitation!
Here’s the Gospel in four main words: God, Us, Jesus, Trust.
God
God is a loving God who is all-powerful and holy. He knows and sees everything and rules over everything. God created all people in His image, and we are valuable to Him.
Us
But we have sinned, and our sin separates us from God. What is sin? Sin is anything we think, say or do that disobeys God. The penalty for sin is death and separation from God forever.
Jesus
But because God loves us so much, He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to pay the penalty for our sin. Jesus died in our place. But He did not stay dead—He rose again three days later. Because of Jesus, we no longer have to be separated from God, and we are offered the free gift of eternal life!
Trust
God gives salvation—rescuing us from our sin—to everyone who places their trust in Jesus as their Savior. What is trust? It means that we rely on what Jesus did. You cannot be saved from sin by doing good things, but only through what Jesus did for you.
