This month’s Biblical theme: Paul’s Missionary Journeys
Unit OverviewAfter meeting Jesus, Paul was completely transformed. He went from hating Christians to preaching the Gospel wherever he went. He would be beaten, imprisoned and sent to stand trial in Rome. Paul was God’s messenger to the gentile, or non-Jewish, world. God used him to perform miracles and show His great power. No matter what, Paul would say that it was Christ working through him to spread the Gospel.
This month’s Biblical theme is: The Epistles
Unit OverviewMuch of the New Testament is comprised of Epistles, or letters that were written to the early church. These churches were spread all around the mediterranean. The Epistles are authored by James, Paul, Peter, Jude and John. They were written to give encouragement, direction and doctrine to the early church. There was a lot of confusion within the new churches about what they should be following. Jesus had only just died, risen and gone to heaven. Paul and John wrote to clarify how God loves unconditionally and calls us to do the same. We should look to Jesus to see the greatest example of love and humility!

Frequently Asked Questions
Brite is created for your entire Children’s Ministry—infants through elementary. Brite Preschool and Brite Elementary can each stand alone, but they are designed to work together in harmony. While we encourage you to use Brite for all age groups, you can purchase Preschool and Elementary separately.
Brite has an aligned Scope & Sequence so all kids are learning the same stories and Biblical truths but with age-appropriate teaching, discussion questions, and activities.
Brite Preschool includes age-appropriate lessons and materials for all of early childhood—infants through Pre-K. The lessons are divided into four age groupings—babies (approx. ages 0-1), toddlers (approx. ages 1-2), younger preschoolers (approx. ages 2-3), and older preschoolers (approx. ages 3-5).

Since preschool and elementary are separate purchases, only calculate how many kids you have in each specific age group. For example, if you have 200 kids in your ministry, but only 50 are preschoolers, you will purchase the preschool curriculum for 25-50 kids.
You bet. Our video clips supplement the lesson with both live-action and animated features that kids love!
Absolutely. Although our videos are popular with kids, they are supplemental, not required for using the lessons effectively.
Each month we provide a memory verse song and lyric video. Preschool also includes a “Find it in the Bible song.” Brite does not include other music at this time.
Yes! Parent resources include monthly activity calendars, weekly parent sheets and social media graphics you can post to keep parents informed about what’s happening in your ministry.

Two ways: Either by logging in to our site and downloading the files you need, or by logging in and using our online portal, where you’ll find the same materials available without needing to download them.
Yes! Not everything is editable, but much of it is. Teaching slides and documents can be changed to fit your ministry and teaching styles. We provide both Word docs and PDF files.
Not yet. While Awana is a global ministry, at this time Brite is only available in the United States. We hope to expand this in the future, but until then, if you’re outside the U.S., please contact us at partnercare@awana.org to learn about curriculum options where you are.
