This month’s stories show that God is always in control. The early church grew in vast numbers as many chose to believe in God. God led Philip to the Ethiopian at just the right time to share the Gospel. God miraculously rescued Peter from prison, showing His power over human plans. God used Paul to proclaim the truth to people who had never heard it, and He placed Priscilla and Aquila in Apollo’s path to explain the Gospel more clearly. In each moment, God was directing and fulfilling His plan.

Our stories this month show that God helps by giving His people what they need to live faithfully and serve others. God gives us the Holy Spirit to guide and grow us, helping us live like Jesus. He helps us have faith and trust Him, even when it’s hard. God also equips us to do His work, just as He helped Timothy lead and serve the church. Through wisdom and love, He helps us care for others and live out our faith in practical ways. In every situation, God gives the help we need to follow Him.

Our stories this month magnify God’s goodness by revealing His character through different life experiences. The Psalms remind us that God lovingly guides us, speaks to us through His Word, and invites us to live in a way that honors Him. Even in times of sorrow or struggle, we are encouraged to bring our emotions to God and remember His faithfulness. The Psalms also highlight God’s care and protection, showing that He is always with us, providing what we need. As we look back on His actions throughout history, we are inspired to give thanks for His constant love and never-ending goodness.

How do I know God is good? Through His love for us.
Psalm 19; Genesis 1
How do I know God is good? Through His love for us.
Psalm 22; Esther 2-8
How do I know God is good? Through His love for us.
Psalm 23: 1 Samuel 16
How do I know God is good? Through His love for us.
Psalm 136; John 6:1-15
The catechism asks: “What is God?” The answer is: “The creator of everyone and everything.” I remember building sandcastles on the beaches as a child. I was very protective and would do everything I could to keep them from being destroyed by other kids or even by the waves. Because the sandcastles were made by me, they belonged to me in a special way.
Because God created everything, it all belongs to Him. He provides and protects because it’s all His. Someone once said, “There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, ‘Mine!’” Because that is true, we can trust Him in everything. In Psalm 24:1, David recognized this: well and said this in Psalms 24:1: The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein.

Brite is created for your entire Children’s Ministry—infants through elementary. Brite Preschool and Brite Elementary can each stand alone, but they are designed to work together in harmony. While we encourage you to use Brite for all age groups, you can purchase Preschool and Elementary separately.
Brite has an aligned Scope & Sequence so all kids are learning the same stories and Biblical truths but with age-appropriate teaching, discussion questions, and activities.
Brite Preschool includes age-appropriate lessons and materials for all of early childhood—infants through Pre-K. The lessons are divided into four age groupings—babies (approx. ages 0-1), toddlers (approx. ages 1-2), younger preschoolers (approx. ages 2-3), and older preschoolers (approx. ages 3-5).
You can read our doctrinal statement here.
Brite Preschool includes age-appropriate lessons and materials for all of early childhood—infants through Pre-K. Since preschool and elementary are separate purchases, only calculate how many kids you have in each specific age group. For example, if you have 200 kids in your ministry, but only 50 are preschoolers, you will purchase the preschool curriculum for 25-50 kids.
You bet. Our video clips supplement the lesson with both live-action and animated features that kids love!
Absolutely. Although our videos are popular with kids, they are supplemental, not required for using the lessons effectively.
Each month we provide a memory verse song and lyric video. Preschool also includes a “Find it in the Bible song.” Brite does not include other music at this time.
Yes! Parent resources include monthly activity calendars, weekly parent sheets and social media graphics you can post to keep parents informed about what’s happening in your ministry.
Brite is a 52-week schedule that explores the Bible from cover to cover each year teaching Biblical literacy and lining up with the calendar to teach about Jesus’ birth in December and Easter in March/April.
Two ways: Either by logging in to our site and downloading the files you need, or by logging in and using our online portal, where you’ll find the same materials available without needing to download them.
Yes! Not everything is editable, but much of it is. Teaching slides and documents can be changed to fit your ministry and teaching styles. We provide both Word docs and PDF files.
Not yet. While Awana is a global ministry, at this time Brite is only available in the United States. We hope to expand this in the future, but until then, if you’re outside the U.S., please contact us at partnercare@awana.org to learn about curriculum options where you are.
There’s an urgent need to equip today’s kids to engage the culture and lead the church of 2050. Brite gives you the resources you need to make resilient disciples who will shine like stars in a dark world. We look forward to partnering with your church.
